Privately operated as a non-profit museum and financed by memberships, admissions, contributions and bequests, the Bidwell House Museum is a New England heritage site providing a personal encounter with history, early American home life, and the Berkshire landscape through its land, house and collection. The Museum is a non-profit educational institution for the benefit of the community and today’s audiences of all ages, dedicated to preservation, scholarship and enjoyment of the landmark site.
Membership contributions are vital to the educational programs and special events offered, as well as for the maintenance of the 1750s house, outbuildings and grounds. The core membership dedicated to the goals of the museum provides its ongoing strength and direction, and allows the museum to thrive. Thank you!
While there are significant benefits to membership, including reduced admission charges to various events, the real benefit is to feel yourself an important part of this very special place.
