2018 Fall Fundraiser Silent Auction

The Bidwell House Museum is happy to share a small selection of wonderful experiences that will be among the items offered in our silent auction at the November 17th Fall Fundraiser.  All proceeds benefit the Bidwell House Museum and its programs: preservation of the 1760s manse, research and education about the Berkshires in the 18th century, maintenance of the collection and preservation of open space.  If you cannot attend the party but would like to bid on any of these items please contact the Bidwell House Museum at bidwellhouse@gmail.com or 413-528-6888

MINI CONCERT AND TALK WITH MARK KELSO

Private mini concert and interview with pianist and composer Mark Kelso. Kelso His songs and film scores  have touched million, from the United Nations to Hollywood, to network TV.  He has also provided music for events with Michael Jackson, Deepak Chopra, and Christopher Reece, among others. Recently,  Karen Allen turned to Mark and his music for her short film “A Tree, a Rock, a Cloud.” Details on the date and location will be determined after the event. Limited to a group of 4 people.

SPECIAL TOUR OF THE BIDWELL HOUSE WITH SAMUEL HERRUPArtboard 1-4

Join antiques dealer Samuel Herrup for a fascinating look at the treasures in the Bidwell House Museum.  An 18th century house was full of objects that are no longer used in the 21st century.  This look at the unusual pieces of early furniture and the fine collection of redware at the Museum will provide you with a new glimpse of life in a 1760’s New England homestead.  Samuel Herrup has been a dealer in antiques and ceramics for 47 years.  He has a shop in Sheffield and exhibits in leading antique shows.  The date for the tour will be mutually agreed upon by Mr. Herrup, the winner(s), and the Bidwell House.  This tour can accommodate up to six people.

FLY FISHING AFTERNOON WITH RICHARD GREENE AND GREG GIMBLETTE

Enjoy an idyllic Berkshire spring afternoon fly fishing for Rainbow and Brook Trout at an exclusivefly fishing 2 private pond with two Bidwell House Museum board members who can instruct, provide gear and serve you delicacies. If you have ever had the inclination to try fly fishing, this will be a priceless experience! The date for this experience will be mutually agreed upon by Mr. Greene, Mr. Gimblette and the winners. This is an experience for two people.
